| About Danewoods

Danewoods Great Danes is a small hobby breeder and is NOT a commercial kennel.

| Our Goals

Our sole purpose is to produce very specific breeding results to improve the Great Dane breed and produce champion show dog qualities. Our goal is to produce dogs with excellent temperaments, size, and substance that are well balanced, athletic & physically sound.

Following this philosophy, we keep 1 or 2 puppies and the rest are sold as pets or show prospects. Our puppies are only available to approved homes.

All "pets" are placed with limited registration and spay/neuter contract. Our Dog's health & hips are guaranteed.

| Our Breeding Criteria

We breed to:
  • Maintain Healthy Characteristics - We believe in performing all the necessary health checks before we breed our dogs. We uphold these high standards to maintain breed quality and maintain our health guarantee.
  • Improve the breed - We are very concerned about health, conformation, and temperament of the breed. We strive to produce puppies that conform to GDCA standards. This is our blue print to produce our Great Danes.
  • Sustain our show quality dogs - We keep a puppy out of a litter for ourselves. We want to continue our championship line and provide a few dogs for show purposes.

Our Dogs are Kid Friendly

Champion Blood Lines

Great Danes make great pets!

Our dogs have champion blood lines and Danewoods Champions are taken to shows, winning many ribbons. But they are also great pets.

Danewood's dogs come with registration papers. If you decide to show them, we are experienced dog handlers. Contact us if you need an expert handler.

Great Dane Santa

AND rest assured that your Danewoods dog will be just as happy, just being your "best friend".
